Here’s a telling excerpt: One of the big barriers for lesbians seeking services for domestic violence is that is may be hard for police or service agencies to determine which partner is the victim.
IOW, it’s easy for police to know who is the victim in a hetero DV call — the woman is assumed to be the victim. So the police can easily arrest the man. But cops don’t have it so easy on a lesbian DV call.
