The top story is that POTUS’ favored journalists are promising transparency any day now.
Meanwhile — several things bleed, but none of them lead these stories:
Pat Lang wrote:
“Federal prosecutors have been weighing for well over a year whether to charge McCabe, after the Justice Department’s inspector general alleged that McCabe had misled investigators several times about a media disclosure regarding the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s family foundation.
By the inspector general’s telling, McCabe approved the disclosure and later — when asked about the matter by investigators with the FBI’s inspection division and inspector general’s office — denied having done so. McCabe’s attorney has said previously that his statements “are more properly understood as the result of misunderstanding, miscommunication, and honest failures of recollection based on the swirl of events around him.” Lying to investigators is a federal crime.” Washpost
This whole thing has the odor of something by Dostoevsky, C&P maybe?
“Who will watch the watchers?” Well, if Barr and company are not going to indict these characters, the answer is NOBODY!
If you read the long litany of articles on SST by David Habakkuk and Larry Johnson, the pattern of a soft coup conspiracy against the possibility of HC’s defeat is quite clear.
And then following her loss, largely brought on IMO, by her unwillingness to cultivate the Deplorables, the semi-Deplorables and the Irredeemable Deplorables, this disdain on her part for ordinary people was further displayed in her offhand dismissal of coal miners as future wards of the state.
Once she had lost, the plot rolled on in an effort to make the ultimate Deplorable a failure in office.
It is de rigeur to write that both parties should feel equally wounded by the plot but they do not.
You knew this already, but Seth Rich was probably the leaker:

Federal agents reportedly raided the home of the United Auto Workers (UAW) President Gary Jones and the home of the union’s former President Dennis Williams.
Sources told The Detroit News about the raids, which are part of the expansion of a corruption probe into auto industry attempts to affect union negotiations.
According to the newspaper, nine people had previously been charged and eight have been sentenced to prison in the investigation.
Agents reportedly served multiple search warrants including at Jones’s Canton, Mich., home, Williams’s California home and at the UAW Black Lake Conference Center, The Detroit News reported.
Did Ilhan Omar’s Campaign Funds Mostly Go Toward Her Alleged Affair?
Nearly one of every three dollars spent on Ilhan Omar’s campaign has gone to her alleged lover’s firm
The New York Post reported Tuesday on a high-profile divorce. To be specific, a woman has claimed in court papers that her husband has been cheating on her, carrying on with married Rep. Ilhan Omar.
Omar’s alleged paramour, Tim Mynett, has been a fundraising consultant for Omar’s 2018 and 2020 campaigns.
Omar hasn’t commented on the accusations, but there’s a possible second scandal involving the more than $200,000 that her campaign has spent with Mynett’s firm.
Of the $145,406 reported earnings by the E Street Group during the 2018 campaign cycle, $62,674 came from Omar’s campaign. Not counting payroll taxes and transfers to Minnesota’s Democratic Party, E Street Group was Omar’s second-largest vendor, according to FEC data. From Labor Day through the end of the year, E Street Group ate up more than 10% of her campaign’s spending (not counting transfers to other campaigns).
Here’s the odd thing: The overwhelming majority of Omar’s funds spent on the E Street Group were paid after she won the contested primary and during the totally noncompetitive general election race in her D+26 district. Contrary to FEC rules, Omar’s filings did not designate whether her E Street Group disbursements (or any of her disbursements) were for the primary election or the general election.
The Omar campaign payments to the E Street Group, often reported as “fundraising consulting” fees on her FEC filings, have accelerated in the 2020 cycle. Her campaign has spent $160,000 at E Street this year, the campaign off year. That’s nearly one in every three dollars spent on her reelection (again, not including transfers to other campaigns or committees) going to her alleged lover.
Omar did not answer the Post’s questions about the alleged affair. Her congressional office declined to answer my questions, instead passing along a campaign email address. Her campaign did not respond to an email.
Justice Department inspector general has done separate report on James Comey
At a glance, this is what happened:
During a meeting of the privy council with the Queen, the monarch has consented to the prorogation of parliament, as requested by prime minister Boris Johnson in what is widely considered a bid to push through a no deal Brexit.
Parliament will thus be dissolved, unless MPs or campaigners will manage to trash this plan over the coming days, between September 9th and September 12th, until October 14th. This would leave MPs with only a few days to put a stop to a no-deal Brexit or Brexit altogether.
Children born to U.S. service members and government employees overseas will no longer be automatically considered citizens of the United States, according to a policy alert issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on Wednesday.
Previously, children born to U.S. citizen parents were considered to be “residing in the United States,” and therefore would be automatically given citizenship under Immigration and Nationality Act 320. Now, children born to U.S. service members and government employees, such as those born in U.S. military hospitals or diplomatic facilities, will not be considered as residing in the U.S., changing the way that they potentially receive citizenship.
Hope Flynn told Breitbart News that North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, is mandating that all students take a “political correctness module,” so that the school can inform them of their level of “privilege,” and remind students that they could be unknowingly offending others. Flynn joined host SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily Alex Marlow in a Wednesday interview for TPUSA’s weekly campus report.
“[The module] did ask us to describe our diversity, which basically meant we had to tell them what our race was, what our gender was, what our sexual orientation was, our religion, and then our political orientation,” said Flynn of the mandatory questioning. “The entire time they would ask us these pretty personal questions.”
“We were also asked to describe what our privilege would be, so if we had a race privilege, a body type privilege, a gender privilege,” added Flynn, “and to document if we’d ever been in a situation where we had committed a microaggression, and if that was due to any of our privileges that we had to describe.”

I don’t think it was a coincidence that Lindsay Graham peppered Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing with questions that asked if the federal government could try citizens in a military court, to which Kavanaugh said they could.
The Justice Department inspector general is preparing to release a report on the conduct of fired FBI Director James Comey in the Trump-Russia investigation, according to a number of sources with knowledge of the situation. The specific timing of the report’s release is not clear.
The Comey report is separate from a larger inspector general report on the DOJ’s handling of the Trump-Russia probe. That report, sometimes referred to by Republicans as an investigation into “FISA abuse,” is expected to be released later.
Former Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates may not be able to escape Epstein-gate after all, after it was revealed last week that the billionaire traveled with Jeffrey Epstein on his infamous ‘Lolita Express’ Boeing 727 in 2013 – four years after Epstein served time for pedophilia.
According to the Daily Mail, “Flight records reveal that Gates flew with Epstein from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey to Palm Beach on March 1, 2013, one of the few flights that year where pilot Larry Viskoski recorded the name of a passenger.”

Police Officer tries to Kidnap 12-Year-Old Girl then Records Himself Urinating on Her
Beyond being the MPAA’s top legal attack dog for nearly a decade, the Sony Pictures email leak showed that Fabrizio was the mastermind behind Hollywood’s Project Goliath to use MPAA/Hollywood Studio funds to pay for having state Attorney’s General and news media owned by those studios, to attack Google to try to pressure it into some sort of “deal” with the studios. Fabrizio was also formerly the top litigator at the RIAA, and led its charge against Napster. Fabrizio was deeply involved in key copyright lawsuits, including the fights against Grokster, Hotfile, and Aereo. Basically, much of the history of “anti-piracy” litigation and “anti-piracy” efforts regarding the internet, was somehow touched by Steve Fabrizio.
And, of course, the usual line that people would give in supporting these positions is that it was necessary is because “piracy is illegal” and so on.
Anyway, that’s why it’s a bit shocking to discover that Fabrizio has now been arrested in DC (and fired by the MPAA) for alleged sexual assault and blackmail. Variety’s story on the charges is really quite incredible:
According to a police affidavit, Fabrizio is accused of threatening a woman he met on a “sugar daddy” dating site. The police allege that Fabrizio and the woman had consensual sex once on Aug. 19, after which he paid her $400. After that, she did not want to see him again. According to the affidavit, Fabrizio sent numerous texts insisting on a second meeting, and threatening to expose her if she did not comply.
“I know where you live,” he allegedly wrote. “I know where you work. Don’t think — Hospital would be happy to know that it’s young nurses are having sexual for money / Same for your landlord.”
Fabrizio allegedly used those threats to coerce her into having sex again, according to the affidavit. The police allege that he then sent additional texts threatening to tell her parents if she did not continue to have sex with him a couple times a month. The woman called the police. After arranging for another meeting, Fabrizio was arrested outside the woman’s apartment on Friday morning, according to the document.
… the words science and scientific ought to be replaced by the more accurate designators scientism and scientistic. Scientism is an ideology that, in its fundamental epistemology, shrinks truth down to what can be demonstrated by the experimental method. Scientism, which provides technocracy with its basic tenets, invariably expresses itself as a materialistic outlook that rejects everything connected with religion and the transcendental. A scientistic or technocratic order will manifest itself in a hyperutilitarian practice rooted in a mathematics of the optimum common good, and it will regard humanity itself as another resource. Despite a constant and pious invocation of humanity, its tendency will be to sacrifice humanity to its notions.
Better than usual for the site, but not worth paying for:

George Orwell review of Russell’s Power: A New Social Analysis
If there are certain pages of Mr. Bertrand Russell’s book, Power, which seem rather empty, that is merely to say that we have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men.
