New Year’s Resolution: waste less time on pointless blogging!

Happy New Year!

Blogging does do a little bit of good for some people. Blogging is not necessarily the most efficient or practical use of my time. Blogging has gotten to be such a habit that I doubt I could go cold turkey.

However, a realistic goal would be to limit the amount of time wasted on silly blog posts that I know to be silly while I am blogging them.

Blogging a post that I know to be silly is a bit like eating junk food in that it is slightly entertaining and it requires little effort. But that is the sort of habit one tries to break with a New Year’s Resolution.

A few sites are probably still doing old school link aggregation. One of them seems to be

https://onesubjectnotebook.wordpress.com/

I notice that https://onesubjectnotebook.wordpress.com/ seems to post every week on Sunday in my time zone, which means that if I post every week on Saturday, I will have a blog that has a chance of getting linked from there.

Now, if you are reading this in an earlier time zone, you’re still in New Year’s Eve, so you still have time to hold a dinner party and get acquainted with a parrot.
