Long hair is terribly inconvenient; can’t we compromise? Twintails offer the best of short hair and long hair

Sunshine Mary has been advocating long hair.

I think long hair is terribly inconvenient, especially for people who live in hot climates, and I suggest a compromise.

If the dangling tails get in your way, you can wrap the braid up.

Now, I understand that not every woman has time to braid all of her hair.

Therefore, I suggest partially braided …

…or entirely unbraided twintails as alternatives.

Agreed! and agreed on the terminology, too. ‘pigtails’ makes it sound gross. I have an acquaintance who lived in japan; told me that they called them twintails over there (and incidentally, when we both agreed that the look was attractive, a girl who was present called us both pedophiles. kek.) I hope the term catches on here. First and second pics here are gorgeous, too bad American culture associates the hairstyle with very young girls.

USA culture is pseudo-Puritanical. They are never happy unless they can whip themselves up into a moral fervor and go off on a witch hunt. When they don’t have enough witches to hunt, they stigmatize anything that catches their attention – then declare “War” on it. War on Sugary Soft Drinks! War on Tobacco! War on Skateboards!

Not every girl can pull off twintails. It depends a lot on the structure of the face, and twintails aren’t always suited to that. The way the hair complements the face is as important as the hair itself.
